{"id":22690,"date":"2024-10-25T09:01:03","date_gmt":"2024-10-25T07:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.padoan.it\/tanktribe-4-xtremes-our-fuel-tanks-after-1-year\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T14:28:45","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T12:28:45","slug":"tanktribe-4-xtremes-our-fuel-tanks-after-1-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.padoan.it\/de\/tanktribe-4-xtremes-our-fuel-tanks-after-1-year\/","title":{"rendered":"TANKTRIBE \u2013 4-XTREMES: OUR FUEL TANKS AFTER 1 YEAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A year ago, we replaced our steel tanks with an aluminium tank and a stainless steel tank.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, we&#8217;ve traveled through very different climatic regions and driven on countless gravel roads totalling more than 15,000 km.<\/p>\n<p>Now that a year has passed, we&#8217;re taking a look at how the tanks have performed.<\/p>\n<p>First, the stainless steel tank: aside from a few tiny scratches, it still looks almost brand new.<\/p>\n<p>As for the aluminum tank, you can see that the material is softer, as the tank has a small dent and the scratches are a bit deeper. You can also clearly see how the tank forms its protective layer and takes on a matte appearance.<\/p>\n<p>But overall, both are still in great condition and performing as expected.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019d ask me at this point, what I\u2019d choose between painted steel, aluminium or stainless steel, I\u2019d have the following answer for you:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; If you have to watch your budget, painted steel tanks are still a good option. But you have to consider that in the future it might be necessary to repaint them, which adds an additional cost.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Personally, I think the aluminium tank is a very good option.
